Summer Opportunities

 

Many organizations offer summer programs for students to learn more about themselves, get ready to continue their education, and figure out what they want to do or study. Programs can include independent or group travel, study, volunteer service, internship, student exchange, and more.

To search for summer enrichment programs offered overseas, at U.S. high schools and colleges, and by special interest, check out Paly's database of summer enrichment opportunities in Naviance!  

Each year Paly receives materials from schools and organizations describing programs available to high school students during the summer; with the help of C&CC volunteers these materials have been organized, entered into the database, and filed in the C&CC for reference.  Paly parents and students are welcome to come into the College Center to review program brochures, as well.  In addition, Naviance includes over 400 summer programs from EnrichmentAlley.com in the same database!

The Enrichment Opportunities database in Naviance lists entries by type (international, college-sponsored, high school-sponsored, & special interest) and also allows you to browse by special interest as well as search by keywords like the name, location, etc. Special interest categories include:

In Naviance, click the "Colleges" tab and then select the "Enrichment Opportunities" hyperlink under the "College Research" section.  Click on a hyperlink to learn more information about program dates and costs (if available), any requirements, and the sponsor's website for more information and the application.
